Anyways, let me get back to the topic.

It was Vodafone to launch the iPhone 3G in the month of August, but it’s now Airtel too. I got the news stating that Bharti Airtel has scheduled to launch the iPhone 3G on August 22, 2008 here in India. Pricing details have not yet been released but would keep you updated if I am

“iPhone has been the iconic technology revelation of this year. Airtel has been at the forefront of innovation and customer delight in the Indian telecom sector. Introducing iPhone 3G to India further underscores our commitment to enrich the communication experience of all Airtel users.”

As said by Sanjay Kapoor, the president of Mobile Services at Bharti Airtel.

The customers going with Airtel will be able to purchase the iPhone 3G at Airtel Relationship Centers. Also, Airtel customers can get more information and book their iPhone 3G here.

P.S Also got the news that Vodafone would be launching it on the same day. <!--

Nokia Nseries, the multimedia sub brand of Nokia has launched the latest and much awaited Nokia N82 in the Indian market. The new Nokia N82 is a multimedia mobile phone optimized for photography, navigation and internet connectivity. The Nokia N82 is designed to offer photography enthusiasts an enhanced camera experience.

“In addition to the high-end camera, the Nokia N82 also enables users to navigate and discover new places, enjoy their music, browse the web, play games, chat online and be part of the global web 2.0 community wherever they go. Thanks to the wireless broadband connectivity, convergence and its increased performance, the Nokia N82 is all people need in their pocket!” said Vineet Taneja, Business Director, Multimedia, Nokia India.

The Nokia N82 Candy Bar phone features A-GPS with pre-installed Nokia Maps. The standard sales kit of Nokia N82 comes with a free voice guided navigation trial for 3 months; however the users can purchase additional features, such as city guides and longer navigation subscription. It’s also equipped with a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with a Xenon flash, and Carl Zeiss optics. There’s also a second VGA camera in front for video calling. The N82 comes with a 2GB microSD card in addition to having 100 MB of internal memory. With regards to connectivity the N82 features Wi-Fi, EDGE 3G with HSDPA, Bluetooth with A2DP and microUSB for PC connectivity.

What makes the N82 stand out is the fact that it incorporates iPhone-like gyroscopic screen rotation. What that means is, if the device is flipped the screen automatically moves to landscape mode. It also comes with an integrated stereo FM radio, an MP3 player of course and a TV out. If necessary one can also use their own set of earphones or headphones as it incorporates a 3.5mm earphone socket.

The Nokia N82 is finally available in the Indian market and is priced at Rs. 28,379.
