Yet another day, yet another Facebook scam. The new scam titled – “Her Life is Over because of this crazy video” with the description – “OMG this is embaarrassing!” is spreading like wildfire. You can notices the word “embarrassing” is misspelled incorrectly by the scammer.

Clicking on the link provided in the scam will take you to the following page which will ask you verify your age by clicking “Jaa” twice.

In order to view the video, the scam asks you to verify that you are over 13 years of age. After you have clicked on “Jaa” you will be redirected to another page with a survey list. You will have to complete the survey before you can view the video.

There is no such video after completing the survey. Scammers create such scam message in order to trick users and get them to click on the “Jaa” button and complete surveys. When you click on “Jaa”, your Facebook account will be click-jacked and like-jacked which will automatically post the scam message on your Facebook wall without your knowledge.

Yet another scam is spreading on Facebook. The new Facebook scam promises to give you free 1000 Facebook credits upon following the steps provided. The scam comes with different domains and multiple descriptions all of which leads to the scam message.

The scam titled – 1000 Free Facebook Credits with various descriptions like – “Everyone can get 1000 facebook credits for free here! I think it is for today only have a look...” or “Hi, here is a way to get 1000 fb credits in your account. Worked for me ”

There are basically two steps the scam asks you to complete before you can claim your 1000 credits reward. In the first step, the scam asks you to copy a Javascript code to the clipboard. In the second step, it will ask you to paste the Javascript code in your browser’s address bar and press enter.

So what happens if do the above steps?

Well, the code will bypass Facebook’s security settings, making your system and your credentials pose to threat. The scam will have access to all your data and information like credit card details, email ids and so on. Apart from that, your Facebook account will be click-jacked and like-jacked making the scam message post on your wall and like it without your knowledge.

It is recommended that you DO NOT click on the link of this scam. If you come across such scams, please delete/remove it from your Facebook wall. Additionally, you can help your Facebook friends from falling for the trap. You can report this scam to Facebook Security to do so.

Google+ was launched few weeks back and is currently under field-test. Users cannot directly sign up for a Google Plus account. They will have to either wait until Google+ is available for them or have to be invited by a current Google+ user. Google closed down the Google+ invite due to a high demand by users. But scammers had already started selling Google+ Invite which were reported to be fake.

Now that Google has shut down its invite process, Facebook scammers have taken advantage of it by creating a fake application page on Facebook which promises to send you an invite for Google Plus. This, however, is reported to be a scam message that is spreading on Facebook.

The scam message titled – “Google+ – Get Invite“ with a description “Get Direct Access!” leads to a Facebook application page when clicked on it. The page has already liked by more than 48k users which indicates how Facebook users fall for such scam messages easily.

The scam has an alternative messages that states -

This page aims to be a meeting place for all those who want to receive an invitation to Google Plus, Google’s social network.

We have created an application which has the task to collect your emails, and then upload them via a csv file in google plus, to carry out mass invitations.

The scam message will ask you to install a application for which you need to grant permissions to access your personal information, send emails, post on your wall and access your data any time. Installing third-part application from an unknown developer, will lead to expose all your personal data. Sometimes, the developer asks you to download an application. This might be malware that grants access to all your credentials like credit cards details, email id and so on. It is advised that you DO NOT grant access to the application or download any such application files.

We recommended you to avoid clicking on such messages. You can either delete the scam messgae from you Facebook wall or Report it Spam on Facebook. Alternatiely, you can report such scams to Facebook Security as well.

The scam’s descriptions reads – Limited time left, get yours now!

There are versions of the scam message with different links. Some of them are:

Clicking on the scam link will lead you to a page where it asks you to “Share” the message with your Facebook friends before you can go any further.

After that you have “shared” it on your Facebook wall, it will ask you to complete a set of surveys. Please do not share or complete the survey provided. You will NOT get the $25 gift card or any other gifts. Apple does NOT giveaway free $25 gift card just for sharing a message on your Facebook wall. Don’t be fooled and do not fall for the trap.

Scammers earn money/commissions by asking users to complete surveys. If you come across such message on your Facebook wall, please remove it or mark it as spam. Alternatively, you can report the scam to Facebook Security.

Following the famous Marika Fruscio Facebook scam, a new scam is underway and is gaining popularity. The new scam titled – The Video Tweet That Just Ended Justin Biebers Career For Good! which describes “20 Minutes ago, Justin Bieber Posted THIS Video to His Twitter Account, See why he has the world turned against him now.”

The new scam displays a link and states that Justin Bieber posted a video on his Twitter timeline showing his center finger, and thus the whole world turned against him.

But when you click on the play button, it will ask you to complete a survey. The alert message states that you will not be able to play the video until you complete the survey.

This is a click-jacking and like-jacking Facebook scam. The scam will be automatically be posted and “liked” on your Facebook wall, so please avoid clicking any links.

If you come across any such related scam, it is recommended that you report it scam or delete it from your Facebook wall. And make sure that you share this with your friends as well.
